A very good grading with lots of effort from everyone. All of those students that took their grading can be very proud of gaining your new belts. You have worked very hard to earn them.
We are again getting near to the WKU spring competition at Hutton Moor in Weston. This event is our own association event and it would be good to see a few more members enter it from our clubs. Please ask me for details and what categories you could enter. There is also the Shobu Jukuren for our younger members where they show techniques against a standing kick pad. This is very popular as they get to know the atmosphere at a competition.
The first of this year's theatre productions is on at the Tickenham Hall on April 25th, so there will not be any training that night.
This has improved and that is mainly thanks to you the students. Word of mouth is our best advertisement, so please keep passing the word and keep on inviting your friends along to see us train.
Lots of advance notice on this subject. We normally train throughout the summer holidays but numbers drop for a couple of those weeks. Nuffield Health has asked that we close for a short period as many are away on holiday. We also struggled there in the second session, where we often ended up with maybe two students. Due to this there will be no training at the Nuffield Heath club on August 4th and 11th. I will remind you nearer the date. We may well also train for the holiday period from 10.00 to 11.30 with the start for everyone at 10.00. If the session is too long for our younger members, parents may collect them earlier. Please, when we get nearer the time, talk to me and we will work together on timings.
At the same time Nigel and myself will close the Clevedon club for the same fortnight, hence no training on Wednesdays of the 1st & 8th August and also the Fridays of the 3rd & 10th August.
