Clevedon Karate Kai

February 2018

As with most clubs it looks like we have lost a few members over the Christmas period. Please pass the word to your friends about our clubs. This is how we maintain our membership.

I am also making enquiries at Nuffield Health to try out having seniors along with the first session as we do in Clevedon. Any parents who are interested, please let me know.

Kata Squad Session

We are holding a kata squad session at the Bristol Dojo on Sunday 11th February from 13.00 to 15.00. This is open to all grades but we will also be selecting members to attend the KSE event in Gloucester. Therefore there is a charge of £3.00 per head which will be put towards squad funds.

All gis sold at the Clevedon clubs have two badges given free of charge with them. It has been noticed that an increasing number of members are not sewing on these badges. The badges cost the club and association between £2.00/£3.00 each. Our next grading is in March. Anyone without both badges sewn on their gi will not be grading. Be proud of your club and your association, the Western Karate Union. Wear your badges. Please feel free to nag any black belts who have not sewn theirs on as I have holes in my fingers from sewing some on a new gi top this week.
